Medical Director: John L. Whitlock, MD
Dr. John Whitlock is the Medical Director for the Community Care Clinic. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Geriatrics. Before moving to Boone he opened his practice in Eastern Tennessee at Johnson County Memorial Hospital in 1976. He is a provider at Watauga Internal Medicine and a highly regarded member of the local medical community for many years. Watauga Internal Medicine joined Appalachian Regional Medical Associates in 2007. Dr. Whitlock is an active member of the Clinic’s Board of Directors and a volunteer provider at the Clinic.
